MBPP OFFICE INTERIOR FITTING OUT

 

Architect T.Y. Au is a boutique architecture design consultancy based in Penang, Malaysia.  In order to compete for bigger projects, in 2008, Architect Au was appointed a director with ATSA Architects Sdn. Bhd. as the two companies share the same principles in design. During my employment in Architect T.Y. Au from 1st February 2018 onwards until 28th June 2019, I was responsible for an interior fitting out project for Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang - MBPP with a construction cost of approximately RM 8 Million.

This project is an interior renovation work of Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang - MBPP offices located in Penang’s tallest skyscraper, Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak - KOMTAR. This interior renovation work involved several levels of different MBPP departments:

Level 3 - Bahagian Kutipan Hasil

Level 11 - Jabatan Konservasi Warisan

Level 12 - Jabatan Penilaian & Pengurusan Harta

Level 13 - Jabatan Kejuruteraan

Level 14 - Jabatan Kawalan Bangunan

Level 15 - Jabatan Perbendaharaan

Level 17 - Jabatan Khidmat Pengurusan

This project consisted of complete interior renovation works of seven levels in KOMTAR including demolition works, space & layout planning, workstation layout & design, lobby, reception counter, pantry & cabinet design, replacement of doors & windows, new interior finishes, etc.
