ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
This module is to introduce the students about the environmental issues and also to provide some in-depth understanding of the complexities and interactions that the design and construction professions have to deal with to contain some of the irreversible damage that human settlement causes to the environment. Modules also intend to instill basic ecological literacy and environmental concerns through projects that involves local environment and society.
PROJECT 1 nature and us
Nowadays, environmental issues have beceme a great concern for mankind as these issues are affecting and will affect the earth and us badly. As such, there are quite a number of environmentalists or movement either government or non-governmental trying and fight the injustice human commit towards earth. As part of that initiative this project intends to encourage us to do our part by producing a poster that reflects to these concerns and issues and to part of the change for a better world with our creative thoughts.
In this project, we have to study and analyze about a specific environmental issue in a group of 3. So, my groupmates Ming Hwee, Jiahui and I had decided to choose Hazardous Wastes by Industrial to analyze. From here, we were able to raise awareness of our own self about the problems brought by the hazardous wastes not only to us, the human but also influencing our environment badly. With the analysis of this serious issue, we were to produce an environmental poster to raise the public awareness about this issue. Besides, we were to write an essay that includes the analysis about the issue and also our comments and suggestions that are made in a critical way. We were to involve critical thinking in giving opinions to protect the earth and our environment from getting destroyed.
